Yes, we have set a record. We now know the exact dates for the Dutch
Open 2007, months in advance.

We are seriously thinking about two championships this year. A
lockpick contest that will take place on Saturday November 24, and an
impressioning championship. For the impressioning championship we will
have to find a timeslot. This will be no problem since the
impressioning championship will only take 20 minutes. There is no need
for several rounds of games before the finals, it is a simple matter
of opening the lock before the others do to become the champion.

Needless to say it will be a fun time as always, filled with many
spectacular presentations and demonstrations. The championships will
be available for everyone, the presentations and demonstrations will
be for toool and ssdev members only. Of course there will be more info
on the Dutch Open 2007 soon, but for now you can start to make
reservations 😉

If you want to give a presentation, or have something else you think
could be interesting to show/do at the Dutch Open 2007 … please let
us know!

To be continued …

    Hello Barry,

let us know wich Lock you want to use
    for the impressioning championship, please.

offer a price for training locks
    and for training blancks, please.

have all the locks in the impressioning championship
    the same configuration?

Steffen (President of Ssdev): Of course we will let our German Ssdev
friends know what type of lock we will use for both the lockpicking
    and the impressioning championship.

And yes, just like the German impression championship all locks will
    have the same pin configuration.

We will do our best to make a decision at least one month before the
open and have training locks and blanks available for a reasonable
    price.

If you have the training Locks and Blanks aviable
at the 11. German Lockpicking Championship
    27.+ 28. October 2007 in Stuttgart,
    it will be very helpful.

    thanks
    Steffen

DMUX, nlp, start saving now! It’s well worth the trip, even if you don’t compete. You’ll see locks you never even saw on the internet, and be allowed to fiddle with many of them. Don’t forget that some parts will be closed to you, though, unless a member.

Would this event on Nov 23/24/25 be a good place to show a new kind of lock? If you were an inventor who was trying to put his ideas out there for everyone to see, and hopefully try to pick.

Shane, yes, if you want it carefully inspected and thoroughly roughed up.

Last year, Stanton Concepts showed a new disc based lock, called the RoboKey, and there was also a new “instantly rekeyable” wafer-type lock there, via Marc Tobias, which Arthur Meister opened a couple of times.

Not much survives the attention unopened, so you’ll want to be sure that it is all good before coming along.

Where exactly is the Open held? I’m kinda in the dark here. I want to bring some guys from my Locksport Chapter here in Texas but we don’t know where exactly we are going! 🙂
